To promote recognize & celebrate exceptional achievement in the Cdn. film & TV industry; achieved through the administration adjudication & presentation of the national film & television awards - Canadian Screen Awards. The Music Video Production Project offers grants to emerging video makers. To complement the Music Video Production Project the Academy hosts the Prism Prize to recognize excellence in another facet of screen-based Canadian media. The Academy expanded its membership programming connecting members with industry experts by holding educational panels across Canada. The Academy runs a mentorship program for aspiring screenwriters directors mid-career BIPOC individuals aiming to become transformative leaders in the industry and women entering the post-production industry. The Academy launched equity and inclusion initiatives subsidizing those who needed financial assistance participating in various programming and professional development programs and also conducted anti-racism training. The Academy promotes Canadian content with its Where to Watch program. The Academy is restoring and promoting several Canadian films to preserve Canadian culture.
