Filing vintage
Figures are last-reported from F2024 CRA releases, not live financial information. A charity's circumstances may have changed since its fiscal period ended.
Self-reported records
T3010 information is filed by each charity and is not independently verified by Charity Compass. Classification, timing, and data-entry choices can affect comparisons.
Spending is not impact
Program-spending, overhead, revenue, and reserves describe reported finances. They do not establish program quality, beneficiary outcomes, governance quality, or the value of a future donation.
Comparability
Charities differ in mandate, geography, age, accounting, and operating model. Foundations require a different financial lens from operating charities.
Coverage
Program descriptions and directors appear only when present in the public filing data. Cents to cause can be computed for 60,998 of 83,761 charities and reserves for 42,874. Third-party analyst ratings cover 819 charities; no rating is not a negative finding.
Registration status
The open dataset does not reliably establish whether a charity is currently registered, revoked, annulled, or suspended. Confirm current status on the CRA charities listing linked from every profile.
