INDEPENDENT LIVING SERVICES SIMCOE COUNTY IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT WORKS TO HELP SUPPORT PEOPLE REMAIN ACTIVE MEMBERS OF THEIR COMMUNITIES AND THRIVE AS INDEPENDENT INDIVIDUALS IN THEIR OWN HOME. WE PROVIDE INDIVIDUALIZED SUPPORT WITH ACTIVITIES OF DAILY LIVING FOR PEOPLE WITH PHYSICAL DISABILITIES AND SENIORS TO PROMOTE INDEPENDENT LIVING CREATE CONNECTIONS AND BUILD COMMUNITY. WE ARE A TEAM OF DEDICATED PEOPLE WORKING TO BUILD AND STRENGTHEN COMMUNITIES IN SIMCOE COUNTY. WE WORK WITH PEOPLE 16 YEARS AND OLDER WITH DIVERSE ABILITIES AT DIFFERENT STAGES OF LIFE. OUR PRIMARY ROLE IS TO ACT AS A PHYSICAL EXTENSION OF THE PERSON IN A WAY THAT PROMOTES INDEPENDENCE DIGNITY AND RESPECT. ASSISTANCE WITH PERSONAL CARE IS THE PRIMARY FOCUS OF WHAT WE DO YET WE ALSO CONNECT PEOPLE TO ACCESSIBILITY RESOURCES. OUR ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY AND AGING AT HOME TEAM PROVIDES GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT WITH ASSISTIVE DEVICES HOME HEALTH EQUIPMENT AND HOME OR VEHICLE MODIFICATIONS AS WELL AS FUNDING RESOURCES AND ACCESSIBILITY-RELATED INFORMATION.
