Pastor Roy carries out weekly worship and special occasion services for holidays based on the following objectives. In order to assist members to acknowledge God's rule over our lives their own unity as Christ's body on earth and to express their relationship with God in public and in private the congregation shall gather for worship regularly and in accordance with the traditions of the Lutheran Church recruit equip and support members for leadership in worship use appropriate worship materials and make certain worship has a place for other functions of the congregation. Active church groups include the Sunday Church School youth groups. confirmation classes women’s and men's group + the church provides facilities for a second Chinese parish St. Paul's Lutheran Church and numerous other outside organizations including Girls Guides AA senior’s groups and children’s activities.

The congregation provides ongoing learning opportunities with appropriate curriculum to recruit equip and approve and support teachers and ensures that adequate study undergirds all functions of the congregation. The Church provides church facility to outside third parties and community organizations for meetings and events and individuals for funerals and weddings. This currently includes Girls Guides Alcoholics Anonymous and a summer youth educational program for learning to cook called Rooks to Cooks. The church provides bible studies to all and is now the meeting place for AA Girl Guides weddings and funerals + operates a cemetery for the congregation. The church regularly hosts breakfasts dinners and concerts for members and the public. The Pastor provides regular fellowship and ministry outside the church to the widen the Markham community.
