The Fort McMurray Catholic Board of Education provides public education in a faith based environment to approximately 6 700 students. services include the delivery of the Alberta education program of studies from grades 1 to 12 early childhood services (ECS) English and French as second languages (ESL/FSL) First Nations Métis and Inuit programing counseling services student transportation and special education services for students with mild moderate or severe disabilities. The Fort McMurray Catholic Board of Education provides public education in a faith based environment to approximately 6 700 students. services include the delivery of the Alberta education program of studies from grades 1 to 12 early childhood services (ECS) English and French as second languages (ESL/FSL) First Nations Métis and Inuit programing counseling services student transportation and special education services for students with mild moderate or severe disabilities. Out of School Care is also provided in six schools. Students and staff are also active in many social justice and charitable work in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo including Santa Anonymous and homeless support projects. Several bursaries and scholarship funds are also provided by the board of education. the board operates thirteen (13) catholic schools which are also made available after school hours for youth groups and other community events. The Suncor Energy Centre for the Performing Arts is part of Holy Trinity Catholic High School and provide music arts and dance programming to the entire community.
