Ongoing programs
The Nature Centre and Fort offer an extensive program of natural and human history early childhood and environmental education programs school programs preschool programs Wild Child youth educations programs workshops and more. Imagination Grove and Harmony Garden our outdoor play spaces are ongoing and hugely popular. Restoration of the Busby Gardens continues. We enjoyed bringing back the Nature For New Canadians as an ongoing program to educate newcomers about our beautiful part of the world. Using our Inclusion Framework as a guide we are using nature and environment and shared cultural experience to bridge cultural divides. Our Climate Literacy Framework is available to anyone from the Nature Centre and ReThink Red Deer. We continue to be involved in Red Deer's Adopt-A-Park and Adopt-A-Stream programs.
New programs
We were pleased to offer an expanded selection of Heritage Awareness programs at Historic Fort Normandeau including Métis beading hide tanning public archery pemmican making and much more. We held outdoor yoga and medicine bag workshops as well. We began a popular new youth program Wild In The Woods.
