Ongoing programs
We continued to hold in-person weekly worship services and meetings of our congregation’s committees We continued to support charities like Kairos-Longbow St. Giles Walk for Housing and the Calgary Foodbank providing fundraising volunteers and providing needed items. We contributed to our national church for mission and outreach projects as well as to respond to disaster appeals all of which is still ongoing. We continued to hold in-person weekly worship services and meetings of our congregation’s committees We continued to support charities like Kairos-Longbow St. Giles Walk for Housing and the Calgary Foodbank providing fundraising volunteers and providing needed items. We contributed to our national church for mission and outreach projects as well as to respond to disaster appeals all of which is still ongoing. We still offer pastoral care bible study and choir rehearsals. Our covenant with an additions recovery group to host 2 meetings weekly is still ongoing. Our continued relationship with Calgary Korean Presbyterian Church (CKPC) is ongoing providing support with their worship.
New programs
Our CKPC relationship is growing and is now including a 3rd worship service on Sunday’s focused on young adults. We provide a jazz concert 8 + times per year for the community to encourage joy and relationships between the church and the community. We now have an unofficial orchestra providing music in collaboration with professional and semi-professional musicians in the community to encourage people to celebrate music and time together in the church regardless of religious affiliation. We now have an unofficial orchestra providing music in collaboration with professional and semi-professional musicians in the community to encourage people to celebrate music and time together in the church regardless of religious affiliation. Our Labyrinth is accessible to the public now and is encouraged for community use for mental health well-being. The bible studies are steadily growing in size and number. A new ESL program was created to provide English support for Korean speakers. We are contributing to the provincial church for various projects and supports. New covenants with various community organizations to share our space to provide music lessons choir practices for a community choir and growth supports to young people. A free community café opened providing fellowship music and free tea/coffee and treats to our neighbors.
