Recognizing the evolving needs of our senior community SPS has implemented several new initiatives aimed at enhancing support and services. Our expanded Tax Clinic now extends its reach to more low-income seniors through more partnerships with senior residences providing comprehensive assistance with tax complexities and ensuring they remain informed about their financial benefits. Through strategic partnerships with additional low-income senior residences we can reach those facing challenges and offer tailored support. Furthermore our Outreach Services have seen a notable increase in demand facilitated by partnerships with local senior centers and referrals from the Tax Clinic. By identifying eligible financial benefits and connecting seniors with necessary resources we strive to address their diverse needs effectively. We have a variety of volunteers from different age groups and cultures on the tax team outreach team and various intern roles helping run the senior centre and engaging with our seniors.
