THE MACKENZIE INSTITURE (MI) IS SHIFTING ITS FOCUS FROM BROAD GLOBAL CONFLICTS TO EITHER SMALLER DOMESTIC ISSUES LIKE ARCTIC SECURITY OR CONTINUED ENGAGEMENT WITH MAJOR INTERNATIONAL CONFLICTS. TO SUPPORT THIS NEW DIRECTION THE INSTITUTE IS SECURING FUNDING AND HAS ALREADY HOSTED THE ARCTIC SECURITY CONFERENCE. PLANNED NEW PROGRAMS/ ARTICLES WILL COVER QUANTUM AI CDN FOOD AND SUPPLY CHAIN RELILIENCE AND THE CHINA-TAIWAN SECURITY RELATIONSHIP. THE INSTITUTE IS UPDATING ITS WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA TO SHARE CONTENT

THE PROPOSAL SUGGESTS THE INSTITUTE SHOULD CONVENE GOVERNMENT ACADEMIA AND BUSINESSES TO DEVELOP A NEW NATIONAL VISION THAT INTEGRATES THE NORTH INTO THE COUNTRY'S INDENTITY. THIS NEW DIRECTION IS INTENDED TO ADDRESS GROWING PUBLIC CONCERN OVER NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY AND SECURE A NEW 'RAISON D'ÊTRE' FOR THE INSTITUTE.
