Ongoing programs
ACWR Membership Program ACWR partnered with neighbouring businesses to provide members with discounts on goods and services in addition to the resources and services we already provide. Members enjoyed discounted rates on rentals workshops access to online and print resources grant consultation opportunities to exhibit deals and discounts and more. ACWR Membership Program ACWR partnered with neighbouring businesses to provide members with discounts on goods and services in addition to the resources and services we already provide. Members enjoyed discounted rates on rentals workshops access to online and print resources grant consultation opportunities to exhibit deals and discounts and more. Currently the ACWR has over 200 active members. ArtSpeak Gallery The ACWR administers the ArtSpeak Gallery a non-curated exhibition space that is accessible to the local arts community. During the 2023-2024 year (July 2023 - June 2024) over 40 different public events and exhibitions by local artists and creatives were organised in the gallery. Some of the exhibitions that took place were: July 2 - July 16 2023 'Windsor Heat 2023' our Summer Member's Show displaying the work of more than 30 local artists. August 6 - 13 2023 'Can't scare me back' by Cole Fortier & Luke Maddaford August 13 - August 27 2023 Colours of Resilience: artwork by those experiencing homelessness. A group exhibition organized by Batool Yahya. October 15 - October 29 2023 Kalina Winska organised by Windsor Printmaker's Forum. December 5 - December 15 2023 'Mistletoe & Snow 2023' our Winter Member's Show. The exhibition included the work of 40 local artists. January 14 - 21 2024 Resurgence (Art & Media Works) by Walkerville High School. May 26 - June 2 2024 Photography by Essex District High School. Vanguard Youth Arts Collective Initiated by ACWR in 2011 the Vanguard Youth Arts Collective is a group of creatively driven youth (ages 15-29) who act as a voice for an emerging generation of the arts within the Windsor-Essex region. This year Vanguard organised a members show at ArtSpeak Gallery along with free community programs at ArtSpeak Art Windsor Essex and Artcite Inc. did outreach and fundraising at Dropped on Drouillard and hosted their own team building activities. ArtsNotes Newsletter ArtsNotes is ACWR weekly guide to the arts in Windsor and Essex County. This is the only comprehensive Arts Cultural and Heritage listing in Windsor and Region. Arts Notes reaches more than 1 000+ subscribers every week.

Neighbourhood Art Tour (Sep 23 2023). In partnership with Ontario Cultural Days 2023 Festival and in collaboration with the Windsor Endowment for the Arts (WEA) ACWR hosted a free arts tour that took participants to experience events at various arts and cultural organizations in five different Windsor neighborhoods.
