Ongoing programs

The Pastoral Charge's specific charitable end is the advancement of religion. It accomplishes this objective by promoting the spiritual teachings of the United Church of Canada and maintaining the doctrines and spiritual observances on which these teachings are based. The benefit to the public is in the area of religion visiting the sick and shut-ins counseling and administering the rites of marriage baptism and funerals. The Pastoral Charge's specific charitable end is the advancement of religion. It accomplishes this objective by promoting the spiritual teachings of the United Church of Canada and maintaining the doctrines and spiritual observances on which these teachings are based. The benefit to the public is in the area of religion visiting the sick and shut-ins counseling and administering the rites of marriage baptism and funerals. The Pastoral Charge supports the work within the United Church of Canada domestically and overseas by supporting the Mission and Service Fund of the United Church of Canada. Worship services are held weekly. The Pastoral Charge also provides ministry to young couples youth senior citizens fellowship groups and to those who need spiritual guidance. The Pastoral Charge also supports food banks hospitals prisons and shelters for young women and children. The Pastoral Charge does not own capital assets; however it is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of two local community church buildings and cemeteries in two communities.
