The mission of the Society is to Protect Animals. Support People. Create A More Humane World. The Society offers services to the Calgary and surrounding areas in the sheltering and care of animals adoptions protection and investigation and improving the welfare of animals through education and outreach programs. The mission of the Society is to Protect Animals. Support People. Create A More Humane World. The Society offers services to the Calgary and surrounding areas in the sheltering and care of animals adoptions protection and investigation and improving the welfare of animals through education and outreach programs. Existing and ongoing programs include Animal Care and Comfort programs Animal Health program Animal Behaviour and Training programs Animal Adoptions Animal Protection and Investigation of cruelty and neglect Volunteer and Fostering programs and Humane Education and Outreach programs. Calgary Humane Society continued offering our Continued Companionship Programs which are programs designed to assist families facing the difficult decision of relinquishing their pet in order to keep people and animals together. Over the course of 2024 966 families used these programs and includes our Emergency Boarding Pet Safekeeping Pet Food Bank Rosco's Keep Them Home Spay/Neuter Clinics Wellness Clinics and Seniors Program.
