Ecology North Offers environmental education and awareness in the following five areas: local food production climate change mitigation and adaptation water stewardship nature appreciation and waste reduction. Some of the public environmental events we organize include: Waste Reduction Week Earth Week Rivers to Oceans Day and natural history events such as the Christmas Bird count. New programs
Ecology North ran a new program called Healthy living through healthy eating which involved at-risk youth learning to prepare meals in a range of settings including traditional foods prepared outside. Ecology North collaboratively hosted two public events-post evacuation on topics of mutual aid and climate and income resilience. Another project gave us the opportunity to increase professional development opportunities for staff.
