New programs
IN DECEMBER 2024 THE CONFLUENCE STARTED THE INSTALLATION OF A NEW PERMANENT EXHIBIT ENTITLED KIPAITAPIIYSSINNOONI (OUR WAY OF LIFE) WHICH WILL OPEN TO THE PUBLIC ON MAY 17 2025. THIS EXHIBIT BRINGS TOGETHER CONTEMPORARY ART AND TRADITIONAL PRACTICE IN HONOUR OF BLACKFOOT LIFE AND HARMONY WITH ALL LIVING THINGS AND THE UNIVERSE. CONSTRUCTION ALSO BEGAN IN 2024 ON OPENING AN ACCESSIBLE INDOOR SPACE AT THE NORTH END OF OUR REPLICA FORT CALGARY BARRACKS FOR INDIGENOUS PEOPLES TO MEET AND HOLD CEREMONY WHICH WILL INCLUDE BATHROOMS KITCHENETTE AND AUTONOMOUS ACCESS FROM OUTSIDE.
