Georgian Nordic Outdoor Activity Centre is a charitable organization run by a dedicated group of volunteer who are outdoor enthusiasts who share a passion for exercise among nature. Through our chosen activities we experience the rugged and beautiful terrain that the Georgian Bay region provides. We have over 45 kilometres of ski snowshoe biking and hiking trails covering our 800-acre property made up of private and Crown land. The centre offers year-round recreation on our trails as well as through our paddling programs. All of the programs are organized and run by volunteers who see the value of offering opportunities for families and individuals to get outdoors. We are both proud of and grateful for the support provided by a regular group of over 60 community volunteers. Through generous grants and donations we are in the process of adding storage and multi-use spaces to accommodate the increasing number of visitors and expanded equipment needed to maintain the trail network.
New programs
As the demand for outdoor pursuits keeps increasing we are continuing to develop and enhance our existing programs. This includes an expanded trail network enhanced grooming expanded race events in all seasons including orienteering events and a paddling race. Our trial network is continually being improved to be more climate resilient.
