Ongoing programs
WE CREATE PRODUCE AND TOUR PROFESSIONAL THEATRICAL PRODUCTIONS FOR CHILDREN YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULTS. WE TOUR OUR WORKS DIRECTLY INTO SCHOOLS AND VENUES TO MEET YOUTH WHERE THEY ARE. WE CONTINUE TO ENCOUNTER A LOT OF DIFFICULTIES WHILE TOURING SUCH AS THE HIGH COST OF HIRING PROFESSIONAL CONTRACTORS OR THE LAST-MINUTE CANCELLATIONS DUE TO ILLNESS. THIS SEASON WE PRODUCED AND TOURED ONE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SHOW: THE MIXOLYDIAN WHICH TOURED IN-PERSON REGIONALLY. THE PLAYWRIGHTS' GYM IS A PAID TRAINING PROGRAM THAT OFFERS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR PLAYWRIGHTS TO STUDY AND DEVELOP SKILLS SPECIFIC TO SCRIP WRITING FOR SCHOOL TOURING FOR YOUNG AUDIENCES. THIS PROGRAM HELPS TO DEVELOP PLAYWRIGHTS WITH THE SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE TO SUCCESSFULLY WRITE A TYA TOURING PLAY FOR GREEN THUMB.
