Hamilton Arts Week is an annual celebration organized by the Hamilton Arts Council showcasing the vibrant and diverse arts community in the Greater Hamilton Area. Through a variety of art forms including visual arts dance music and literature Hamilton Arts Week aims to engage the public promote cultural exchange and create meaningful opportunities for artists to share their work. The Residency Program at the Cotton Factory in partnership with the Hamilton Arts Council provides artists with dedicated studio space and a supportive environment within Hamilton’s historic Cotton Factory complex. This program is designed to foster creative development offering artists time and resources to explore their practice engage with the local arts community and collaborate with other creatives. Through exhibitions open studios and community events residents have unique opportunities to showcase their work and connect with broader audiences. The residency emphasizes artistic growth and community engagement reinforcing Hamilton’s dynamic cultural landscape.

1. The Arty Crowd and The Arty Crowd Out Loud: This ongoing program enhances community engagement by supporting local artists through digital platforms and a television series. It serves to showcase diverse artistic voices and promotes accessibility to arts programming. 2. hArt Series (Dance Film and Music): A combination of ongoing and evolving programming the hArt Series provides equitable access to professional development and presentation opportunities for Indigenous Black and racialized artists featuring dance films music workshops and showcases that support artist portfolio development.
