Ongoing programs
The 2024 Hornby Festival marked our 42nd anniversary making us one of the longest standing festivals in Canada. We continued to keep relevant and fresh with our 10 day Festival of Music and Art featuring exciting local Canadian and international artist showcasing diversity and artists at all levels of their careers. Our community engagement and buy-in was shown through the help of over 100 volunteer hours. - We continued with our local Indigenous relationship building working under the Cultural Direction of Elder Barbara Whyte (Billy). This year the Festival opened with a traditional Pentlatch Welcome Ceremony led by Elder Barb Whyte complete with a drumming ceremony We were also thrilled to continue with Art In Unusual Places Pre-Show talks Classical Kids Opening Acts and the Hornby Festival Live on the Lawn at CHFR 96.5FM.
