Ongoing programs
Kenesserie offers weekly outdoor children overnight camping programming during July and August. Activities include archery swimming crafts campfires canoeing singing sports nature studies outdoor cookouts and camp outs. Kenesserie provides programming for school class visits both onsite and at the schools. In addition we rent out our facilities for retreats family events church events corporate and community groups. Activities include archery swimming crafts campfires canoeing singing sports nature studies outdoor cookouts and camp outs. Kenesserie provides programming for school class visits both onsite and at the schools. In addition we rent out our facilities for retreats family events church events corporate and community groups. The tiered registration fees are on an ability to pay basis. The Registration Assistance Program helps those families who are unable to pay even the lowest registration cost. Kenesserie employs over 25 high school and post-secondary students to plan and implement the summer programs and to care for the campers that attend. The Board of Directors all volunteers meet once a month. Property repairs and upkeep are generally done by volunteers and local businesses as needed. Our fundraising activities are mail appeal campaigns and a spring Walkathon event.
