Ongoing programs
WE ARE AN AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY & OUR MAIN FUNCTION IS TO PROMOTE ALL AREAS OF AGRICULTURE IN AN URBAN & RURAL COMMUNITY. WE ENDEAVOUR TO ENCOURAGE COMMUNITY SUPPORT & INVOLVEMENT BY THE YOUNG PEOPLE OF THE AREA IN EVENTS (IE: 4-H BEEF SWINE SHEEP & HORSE SHOWS & OTHER AGRICULTURAL THEMED EVENTS). WE HAD 335 VOLUNTEERS AND 6416 VOLUNTEER HOURS IN 2024.
New programs
WE EXPANDED OUR ANNUAL FAIR TO A 2DAY EVENT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN OVER 10YRS MOTHER NATURE DID RAIN OUT 1 DAY BUT WE STILL HAD INDOOR EVENTS AND SOME EVENTS OUTSIDE. WE ARE AGAIN THIS YEAR LOOKING AT KEEPING THE FAIR A 2DAY EVENT IN 2025 AND HOPING FOR BETTER WEATHER SO THE LOCAL MIDWESTERN HORSE GROUP WILL BE ABLE TO SHOW FOR THE FIRST TIME IN OUR COMMUNITY FAIR.
