MILK RIVER LIBRARY CONTINUES TO PROVIDE READING AND NON-PRINT MATERIAL AS WELL AS ACCESS TO THE INTERNET AND TECHNOLOGY TO THE LOCAL RESIDENTS AND THOSE LIVING IN THE OUTLYING RURAL AREAS WE PROVIDE TEL-CONFERENCE FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT AS WELL. WE OFFER A WEEKLY LEGO AFTER SHCOOL PROGRAM AND OUR MONTHLY BOOK CLUB. WE ALSO CONTINUE TO OFFER HOLIDAY THEMED CLASSES FOR CHILDREN THAT INCLUDE ARTS AND ACTIVITIES AS WELL AS A SNACK. New programs
WE HAVE UPGRADED OUR COMPUTERS SO THAT THE PUBLIC CAN CONTINUE TO ACCESS THE LIBRARY FOR THEIR DIGITAL NEEDS. WE HAVE INTRODUCED TWO NEW PROGRAMS THIS YEAR. THE FIRST IS OUR COFFEE CONNECTIONS PROGRAM THAT RUNS MONTHLY AND HAS A DIFFERENT THEME TO EONCOURAGE THE PUBLIC IN TO THE LIBRARY AND EXCHANGE INFORMATION AND ITEMS CONNECTED TO OUR THEME. THE SECOND PROGRAM IS WE NOW HAVE A TOY LENDING LIBRARY UP AND RUNNING FOR KIDS/FAMILIES TO BORROW TOYS.
