Ongoing programs
1) Through our Information & Volunteer Centre we connect Richmond residents to their community in two ways: by providing comprehensive information on the many community services and resources available and by promoting and facilitating volunteerism. 2) Our Child Care Resource & Referral Centre (CCRR) helps parents find child care that meets their needs and supports care providers in offering safe nurturing quality programs. 1) Through our Information & Volunteer Centre we connect Richmond residents to their community in two ways: by providing comprehensive information on the many community services and resources available and by promoting and facilitating volunteerism. 2) Our Child Care Resource & Referral Centre (CCRR) helps parents find child care that meets their needs and supports care providers in offering safe nurturing quality programs. The CCRR also operates the Richmond Early Years Library. 3) The Richmond Christmas Fund assists low-income residents during the holiday season. 4) Our Seniors Community Support Services include grocery shopping Senior Peer Counselling and an information & referral service called Seniors Community Connections. As Richmond’s Better at Home lead agency we also offer transportation friendly visiting and light housekeeping services. In addition we operate the Richmond Family & Friend Caregiver Hub through which local caregivers can access resources emotional support and a variety of educational and recreational workshops. Finally as partner in the SHINE program (Seniors Housing Information and Navigation Ease) we help Richmond seniors access appropriate housing services and other community supports. 5) In our Leadership Richmond program we work to build capacity in the local non-profit sector by supporting young community leaders encouraging corporate social engagement and hosting professional development opportunities for non-profit staff board members and volunteers. 6) In partnership with the Vancouver Foundation we administer the Richmond Neighbourhood Small Grants program which allows residents to apply for up to $500 so they can complete a community project. In 2023-24 240 volunteers supported our agency contributing 10 954 hours.

In our Social Prescribing program we work one-on-one with older adults helping them explore and access community services and activities that promote healthy aging.
