SAMARITAN'S PURSE IS INVOLVED IN SPREADING THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST TO THE UTMOST PARTS OF THE WORLD AND EXEMPLIFYING CHRISTIANITY TO OTHERS BY ACTS AND DEEDS PATTERNED AFTER THAT OF THE GOOD SAMARITAN (LUKE 10). OUR MINISTRY WORK IS PRIMARILY ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH OVERSEAS AGENTS AND PARTNERS WHOSE ACTIVITIES ARE RECOGNIZED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS TO BE CONSISTENT WITH THE CHARITABLE OBJECTIVES OF THE CORPORATION. WE ALSO RESPOND TO VICTIMS OF DISASTERS WITHIN CANADA BY PROVIDING PHYSICAL ASSISTANCE AS PEOPLE CLEAN UP AND REBUILD AFTER FLOODS FIRES AND OTHER DISASTERS AS WELL AS EMOTIONAL AND SPIRITUAL SUPPORT IN THE AFTERMATH.

New programs

TO FURTHER SPREAD THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST SAMARITAN'S PURSE HAS RECENTLY DEVELOPED THE CAPACITY TO HOUSE MAINTAIN AND DEPLOY AN EMERGENCY FIELD HOSPITAL (EFH) TO INCREASE THE MINISTRY'S ABILITY TO RESPOND TO INTERNATIONAL DISASTERS WITH LIFE-SAVING MEDICAL CARE WHEN TIME IS CRITICAL AND OFFER HOPE IN JESUS' NAME. OUR MINISTRY IS RECRUITING AND TRAINING ADDITIONAL MEDICAL DISASTER ASSISTANCE RESPONSE TEAM MEMBERS WHO WILL DEPLOY ALONGSIDE THE HOSPITAL TO PROVIDE EXPERT AND COMPASSIONATE CARE THAT WILL SAVE LIVES AND REDUCE SUFFERING WHILE SHARING THE GOSPEL MESSAGE.
