THE ALBERTA MUSIC FESTIVAL IS COMPRISED OF 36 LOCAL MEMBER FESTIVALS. EACH LOCAL FESTIVAL HOSTS ITS OWN MUSIC/SPEECH FESTIVAL WITHIN ALBERTA. VOLUNTEER BASE IS OVER 300 AND WE HAVE 400 COMMUNITY SERVING OVER 82 000 AMATEUR MUSICIANS. THE ASSOCIATION RUNS A PROVINCIAL FESTIVAL EACH SPRING WITH PARTICIPANTS FROM ALL 36 LOCAL FESTIVALS PERFORMING IN PIANO STRING VOCAL GUITAR BRASS WOODWIND MUSICAL THEATRE SPEECH CHORAL SPEECH SCHOOL CHOIRS AND COMMUNITY CHOIRS. CURRENTLY WE ARE PLANNING ON HOSTING OUR PROVINCIAL FESTIVAL IN MAY 2025 IN EDMONTON. WE WILL BE HIRING WELL QUALIFIED ADJUDICATORS FROM CANADA. WE WILL AGAIN THIS YEAR RUN A HYBRID MODEL FOR CHOIRS PRESENTING BOTH LIVE AND RECORDED CLASSES. OUR ENTRIES CONTINUE TO GROW EACH YEAR.
