The British Columbia Youth in Agriculture is an organization that devotes itself to establishing scholarships grants and educational programs for BC youth involved in the agriculture industry. The organization is committed to promoting the welfare and development of youth in the agriculture industry. To be more specific the BCYA performs the following: - To advance education by providing publicly available scholarships bursaries awards and other forms of financial assistance to students to be used for post secondary education in the field of agriculture. - To advance education by providing youth with leadership development and community involvement opportunities in the field of agriculture. - To receive and maintain a fund or funds and to apply all or part of the principal and income therefrom from time to time to qualified donees as defined in subsection 149.1(1) of the Income Tax Act (Canada). - To do all such things as are incidental and ancillary to the attainment of the above charitable purposes.
