Ongoing programs

Held weekly religious services to practice our faith support spiritual growth and promote mental well-being. Discuss social issues including poverty racism truth & reconciliation; collaborate with other Unitarian congregations including shared services with other Unnitarian Congregations; participate in national services and business meetings. Communicate with members and the public through a web site monthly newsletter and weekly eNews to: promote Unitarian Universalist teachings and principles; to educate members and the public on social issues related to Unitarian principles including encouraging action to dismantle racism reduce violence promote truth and reconciliation etc. Make contributions to the Canadian Unitarian Council which provides us with professional assistance certification of lay chaplains and education related to Unitarian Universalist principles. Promote interfaith cross-cultural understanding by: participating in the Regina Multi-Faith Forum; providing lay chaplain services for rites of passage to the public & members; maintaining a library of books by Indigenous authors about Indigenous issues & dismantling racism. Made contributions in accordance with our guiding principles of time donated items or cash to registered charities such as Flaming Chalice International Canadian Unitarian Council Carmichael Outreach and YWCA.

New programs

Sponsored Anti-Racism workshop with Multicultural Council of Saskatchewan (registered charity) to raise awareness and educate members in accordance with our 8th principle: a. to increase understanding and encourage action to dismantle racism and other oppressions; b. to promote truth and reconciliation; and c. to teach ways to prevent or reduce interpersonal violence against women and the disadvantaged.
