1) Provides religious and moral guidance to congregants and members of the community; 2) Provides religious services regularly; 3) Performs weddings funerals baptisms and holy communion; 4) Holds confirmation classes bible studies and Sunday School; 5) Holds special celebrations such as Easter and Christmas services; 6) Does outreach to the community at large; 7) Supports other community groups where appropriate ie. local food banks shelters etc. 8) As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic VUC continues to offer worship and support through various alternate means such as email services telephone support and outdoor celebrations; we have commenced in-person worship while honouring the wishes of our aging congregation; 9) Partly due to Covid and also because of requests from younger congregants VUC has instituted increased options for the use of email and other technologies. This has included opportunities to worship to support and communicate with each other and to to submit financial donations to the church.

New programs

1) Because our core Minister is currently on long-term disability we continue to utilize pulpit supply Ministers; this has resulted in our congregation enjoying a variety of ministerial approaches; this process has resulted in excellent attendance and increased interest from congregants.
