Ongoing programs
Classes were held both in-person as well as online on various topics related to Hindu philosophies Vedanta on the lives of spiritual teachers and on sacred Hindu books like the Bhagavad Gita. Classes were held both in English and Hindi. Classes in English were held on Saturdays and classes in Hindi were held on Sundays. The classes were followed by questions and answers sessions and devotional songs both on Saturdays and Sundays. Classes were held both in English and Hindi. Classes in English were held on Saturdays and classes in Hindi were held on Sundays. The classes were followed by questions and answers sessions and devotional songs both on Saturdays and Sundays. Subscribers have increased and there are around 1540 subscribers now. The annual function of Swami Vivekananda’s arrival was held on July 15 2023 at the Confederation Centre in Burnaby and a 2-day annual retreat was held on September 9-10 2023 at the Shadbolt Centre in Burnaby. Both these events were well attended and appreciated. The Society had also moved to a new location on December 26 2023. This new property was purchased to accommodate more devotees visiting the Society. An agreement had been reached with a buyer regarding the selling of the previous property.
New programs
The Swami informed everyone present at the AGM that reservations have been made at the Shadbolt Centre in Burnaby for both the Swami Vivekananda's arrival function event and the two-day annual retreat. The arrival function is to be held in July 2024 and the annual retreat in September 2024. The Swami also mentioned that as more devotees start visiting the Society and attending the classes other activities and events could be planned.
