Ongoing programs
OUR ORGANIZATION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF THE ASTOR THEATRE SOCIETY WHICH IS A DESIGNATED HERITAGE PROPERTY. WE PRESENT LOCAL PROVINCIAL AND NATIONAL LIVE PERFORMANCES IN LIVERPOOL NS. WE ALSO PRESENT PLAYS AS PART OF THE INTERNATIONAL THREATRE FESTIVAL WHICH IS HELD BI-ANNUALLY IN OUR FACILITY. WHEN THERE ARE NO LIVE PERFORMANCES WE PROVIDE WEEKLY MOVIES WITH AN EMPHASIS ON CANADIAN CONTENT AS WELL AS AFTERNOON MOVIES FOR SENIORS. EACH SUMMER WE PROVIDE A YOUTH THEATRE WORKSHOP FOR A JUNIOR AND SENIOR GROUP. WE PROVIDE SPACE AND SERVICES FOR LOCAL DANCE GROUPS ADULT AND CHIL… Show more
