The Society commissioned a professional Accessibility audit of the festival grounds and website during the 2023 festival. The recommendations for accessibility improvements that fall within the festival's purview as opposed to the City of Edmonton's responsibility have begun to be addressed and will continue to be implemented over the next five years. The festival is also bringing back the re-useable plate program to reduce waste and the amount of compostable single use containers at the festival site once again.
