In 2023/24 Eastside Family Place activities included family and caregiver drop-in licensed occasional care summer outdoor programming special events direct support resources and linkages monthly newsletter and available community resources community garden project and numerous parenting programs both online and in-person. This year we had over 12 206 visits to our East Vancouver Family Resource Centre.
New programs
To mark the 45th Anniversary of Family Place we updated our charter of child rights to highlight children’s voices. Through the support of Equitas International we consulted 178 children which included 30 Britannia out-of-school care children (ages 5-12) and 60 preschool children (ages 3-5) plus 88 children through ESFP.
