Partner Assault Response Program (PAR) Specialized group counselling to men who have been mandated by the court to attend in response to a criminal charge involving domestic violence. The 12 session program provides individuals with an opportunity to examine their beliefs and attitudes towards domestic abuse and to learn non abusive ways of resolving conflict. Being the Change Program Voluntary specialized group counselling to men who wish to address issues of domestic violence. The 16 session program provides individuals with an opportunity to examine their beliefs and attitudes towards domestic abuse and to learn non abusive ways of resolving conflict. Caring Dads Program Specialized group counselling to fathers who are at risk of abusing have abused their children or have physically/emotionally abused their children’s mother. The 17 session program aims to support healthy father/child interaction and create healthy strategies for men to interact with the mother of the child. To train other professionals as Caring Dads? group facilitators solely in association with providing not-for-profit violence against women services to fathers and families namely counselling group therapy and programs to fathers who have perpetrated abuse neglect or domestic violence in their families or are at high-risk. Women’s Intervention & Support Program (PAR) A 12 week court mandated group counselling program for women seeking support due to domestic violence related charges. Women will learn tools designed with a woman centered approach to support healthier decision making strategies that create positive relationships within their lives. Victim/Current Partner Contact Services As clients are referred to the Men’s or Women’s Programs specialized counsellors make contact with the victim of assault / current partner of the client involved in the group counselling program. Services are voluntary in nature and are generally provide over the phone and include risk assessment safety planning information sharing and referrals to ongoing community supports. Caring Dads Facilitator Training To train other professionals as Caring Dads? group facilitators solely in association with providing not-for-profit violence against women services to fathers and families namely counselling group therapy and programs to fathers who have perpetrated abuse neglect or domestic violence in in their families or are at high-risk.
