1. We hold Meetings for Worship of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in the Victoria Friends Meeting House 1831 FernStreet on Sundays. 2. 1. We hold Meetings for Worship of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in the Victoria Friends Meeting House 1831 FernStreet on Sundays. 2. We support local food banks and shelters with contributed funds. 3. We support alternatives to violence training with funds and volunteers. 4. We provide funds to Canadian Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends our national organization to support commonwork and social action. 5. We provide funds to Canadian Friends Service Committee our service organization to support its projects. 6. We support community garden projects in the Capital region with funds and training. 7. We provide adult education classes on Quakerism and related spiritual topics. 8. We provide a free lending library of related spiritual materials. 9. We provide regular meeting space in our Meeting House for various groups in the community such as storytellers meditationgroups and spiritual singing and dancing and we provide meeting space from time to time for lectures films or discussions onmatters of interest to Friends and others in the community. 10. We let the Meeting property behind the Meeting house for use as a small community green space and park. 11. We work in coalition with local interfaith and other Christian groups to support common spiritual work and understanding. 12. We work to increase our understanding of and connections to First Nations on Vancouver Island and beyond. 13. We hold online (Zoom) Meeting for Worship once or twice a week serving Friends across Canada.
