THE CORPORATION OF THE ANGLICAN PARISH OF ST. GEORGE

The parish focusses on sharing the Gospel of Christ through regular and special church services youth programs parishioner support and community outreach. The church has recognized a growing need for community support in the Charlotte County area. In response it has repurposed part of its building to create The Hub a welcoming and inclusive space designed to meet a variety of needs. This community space not only provides a place for individuals to socialize and pursue common interests but also offers vital resources such as assistance with food insecurity clothing and various support groups. The Hub serves as a support center where community members can access free Wi-Fi use computers and get help with online forms or other digital needs. Additionally we advocate for and assist those facing challenges working to provide solutions and a sense of belonging for all who visit. The Mission of The Hub is to build an inclusive connected and social environment. The Hub’s main partner is the Canadian Mental Health Association of NB which includes a Community Program Coordinator a Peer Support Worker and two Employment Counsellors who manage the Employment Program-Working: Stronger Together. Their space includes a training room that hosts a variety of trainings and workshops and can be used for free by local non-profits. The list of Community Partners at The Hub continuously grows and currently includes Hospice of Charlotte Sophia Recovery Mental Health and Suicide Awareness Team CMHA of NB Working: Stronger Together Eastern Charlotte Activity Centre Mental Health and Addictions and Family and Child Education. In order to address food insecurity in the area a weekly meal is provided free of charge for anyone that would like to join them. The cost of the meals is funded by sponsorships from local businesses and donations from community members.
