SSVP MAINTAINS A 24/7 HELP LINE WHICH INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN NEED CAN CALL FOR ASSISTANCE. SSVP ALSO PROVIDES FUNDING FOR BI-WEEKLY DELIVERIES OF VEGETABLES AND FRUIT TO A NUMBER OF LOW-INCOME FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS. SSVP PROVIDES FOOD CARDS AND GIFTS TO LOW-INCOME INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES AT CHRISTMAS EASTER AND THANKSGIVING. CHILDREN OF LOW-INCOME FAMILIES ALSO RECEIVE SUPPORT THROUGH SSVP'S PAYMENT OF BACK-TO-SCHOOL SUPPLIES AND STUDENT BURSARY AWARDS. SSVP ALSO PROVIDES A ONE-TIME ASSISTANCE PACKAGE TO INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE RELEASED FROM LOCAL PRISONS. SSVP ST. PAUL THE APOSTLE PARISH IS ONE OF SIX SSVP CONFERENCES IN BURLINGTON ONTARIO AND ONE OF SEVERAL HUNDRED SIMILAR PARISH-SUPPORTED SSVP CONFERENCES ACROSS CANADA. SSVP ST. PAUL THE APOSTLE PARISH HAS APPROXIMATELY 23 ACTIVE VOLUNTEERS.
