THE MAIN PROGRAMS OF THE SOCIETY ARE TO COLLECT PRESERVE RESEARCH EDUCATE EXHIBIT INTERPRET AND DESIGN PROGRAMS FROM A COLLECTION OF HISTORICAL ARTIFACTS AND ARCHIVAL MATERIAL COVERING THE HISTORY OF JAPANESE CANADIAN SOCIETY FROM THE 1870'S THROUGH TO WORLD WAR II TO PRESENT DAY; TO PROVIDE CULTURAL EDUCATIONAL AND COMMUNITY PROGRAMS AND EVENTS; AND TO DEVELOP PARTNERSHIPS WITH OTHER CULTURAL ORGANIZATIONS IN PRESENTING PROGRAMS AND EVENTS IN ORDER TO FURTHER JAPAN CANADA RELATIONS AND INCREASE CROSS CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING.
