To relieve hunger and malnutrition suffered by area residents. To solicit food donations. To redistribute food received to families and other organizations principally in the London Area. To provide education and programs in nutrition life skills and the arts for those that are unable to afford them in an effort to reduce the effects of poverty and the betterment of the community. To solicit foodstuffs musical and arts related goods and moneys and then redistribute these foodstuffs and provide programs at no charge to area residents who are unable to afford and need assistance. To provide education and programs in nutrition life skills and the arts for those that are unable to afford them in an effort to reduce the effects of poverty and the betterment of the community. To solicit foodstuffs musical and arts related goods and moneys and then redistribute these foodstuffs and provide programs at no charge to area residents who are unable to afford and need assistance. The London Food Bank utilizes significant volunteer assistance to complete the above programs with an estimate of 48 500 volunteer hours. The food bank has installed a greenhouse to grow vegetables for clients and organizations that it supports. The Food Bank supports other organizations providing them with greenhouses if they use the food to support those in need of food. The food bank is working on 'Farm in a Box' urban farming to emphasize food insecurity.
