Don't Mess with the Don's purpose is to remove garbage and other refuse from the Don Valley in Toronto and other related green spaces. We conduct regular clean ups by volunteers in the valley including the parkland forests and the river. We work with other environmental agencies in a coordinated way to maximize this effort. Don't Mess with the Don's purpose is to remove garbage and other refuse from the Don Valley in Toronto and other related green spaces. We conduct regular clean ups by volunteers in the valley including the parkland forests and the river. We work with other environmental agencies in a coordinated way to maximize this effort. Don't Mess with the Don conducts clean-ups more than 25 times each year. Over the last six years Don't Mess With The Don has picked up about 136 078 kilograms of garbage. Don't Mess with the Don also advocates to its stakeholders including different levels of government to increase awareness and to support additional resources to improve the Don Valley. We also advocate to businesses and residents to enhance their commitment and responsibility to maintaining the Don Valley. Don't mess with the Don is also involved in removing invasive species from the Don Valley. We conduct regular removals of damaging plants such as the Dog Strangling Vine. Don't Mess with the Don operates without purpose of gain for its members and that any profits or other assets of the organization will be solely used to promote its objectives.
