DUE TO THE INSTABILITY OF HAITI OUR VOLUNTEERS HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO TRAVEL TO THE COUNTRY DURING THIS FISCAL YEAR. THE WORK IN THE COUNTRY CONTINUES WITHOUT OUR CANADIAN VOLUNTEERS HAVING TO BE IN THE FIELD. THE ESSENCE OF THE WORK IS DIRECTED AT IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN CITE SOLEIL HAITI THROUGH DIRECTED PROJECTS AIMED AT WATER FOOD HEALTH AND EDUCATION. TO DATE PROJECT WORK HAS INCLUDED CONSTRUCTION OF A WATER TOWER AND ESTABLISHMENT OF A HEALTH CLINIC. MODIFICATION TO PROGRAMS INCLUDED WATER DELIVERY OPERATION OF A MOBILE HEALTH CLINIC AND A PROGRAM PROVIDING ELDER-CARE BY YOUTH IN THE AREA AND COMPREHENSIVE FIRST AID COURSES WERE RUN TO DEAL WITH THE FALLOUT OF GANG VIOLENCE.
