Ongoing programs
As per our society object we continued to advance education by providing the students of Ecole St. Gerard and the community of Grande Prairie Alberta with playground structures and recreation area. Our school was slated to move to a new building for September of 2022 still to be named Ecole St Gerard and so we were fundraising towards a playground at that site. As per our society object we continued to advance education by providing the students of Ecole St. Gerard and the community of Grande Prairie Alberta with playground structures and recreation area. Our school was slated to move to a new building for September of 2022 still to be named Ecole St Gerard and so we were fundraising towards a playground at that site. We ordered the playground in the spring of 2022 and it was installed late summer / early fall. Based on student enrollment the division split our school into 2 french immersion schools with half of the students moving to the new facility (now named Ecole Catholique Louis Riel) and half remaining at the old site (Ecole St. Gerard). We contacted CRA during this transitional period and were assured that although our mandate reads Ecole St. Gerard due to this change building the playground at the new site still met our mandate and didn't require any documentation changes.
