The computer literacy program teaches basic computer use and skills Interested newcomers can able to attend on flexible schedule our workshops on various topics that allow newcomers to learn easily at their pace. The basic computer skills focuses on how to find and use information on internet job search access online government services to help easily navigate in local social integration. The newcomers can access online information and learn how to use internet and technology .Our workshops includes such as Financial literacy Parenting community development job search and life skill to empower newcomers . We recruited and trained volunteer to help newcomers in main Canadian cities during fiscal year. HIRO helped many families to connect with Khan academy website that has free access to various courses on education for all age of life. And interestingly all this program and services run by volunteers .There are over 45 volunteers each team work in group of 4-5 people in main Canadian cities (Vancouver Ottawa Edmonton and Toronto).

The plan for next fiscal year will be to build on the Education program lunched last year under education program the youth tutorial program is a new initiative it teaches youth in grade 5 6 and 7 Math's after school in twice a week either Tuesday or Thursday evening that last 45 minutes the student attend from their home .Th program is an innovative and part of inclusion and raising opportunity to connect newcomer community with resources provide guidance and mentor to allow easily navigate in digital economy to make them competent in labor market. The challenge in digital economy is real and it negatively affects low income families and newcomers community mainly those with language and computer literacy to mitigate this a collaborative and grass root work with local community has no options Another program for next fiscal year is to focus on jobs creation for newcomers through guidance and mentor this is to encourage newcomers to develop and learn business skill to create jobs and self employed. The plan is to engage experienced business leaders to provides mentor and guidance. Our experienced volunteers can also ready to assist in filing individual income tax online we reached out to CRA to take training to effectively run income tax clinics starting 2025.
