It is with a knot in my heart that I write this letter. After more than a year of procrastination and a lot of soul searching and talking to friends and colleagues the time has come to close down Hearst Pet Finders Rescue. In the past 5 or more years the task of finding volunteers foster homes and donations has become a heavy burden not to count the painful passing of three of our beloved council members (Yolande Aubin Rita Aubin and Micheline Bolduc). It has been 32 wonderful years many friendships have bloomed both with animals and humans! I have more than 700 + dogs that have passed in my arms not to mention about 360 cats some gerbils rabbits skunks chinchillas various birds foxes eagles etc... I will always be available for animals in need for the entirety of my life just not under a nonprofit charity but at my own pace. I would like to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart to all of those who have helped me in the past either with donations food foster homes and more you all hold a special place in my heart forever. The remaining available funds will be used for Bursaries in the local high schools (French and English) to help young students who will be going to into the veterinarian or technician field or any animal related field. This was by no means an easy decision for me but it is a chapter in my life that I would do over again in a heartbeat. Thank you to all and God bless all the animals and those who love them. Xo PS: The charity chart was offered locally to another organization unfortunately there is a lot of red tape and legalities involved and thus impossible to transfer at this moment. Hearst Pet Finders Rescue's Facebook page will remain active to keep the avenue for helping those have have lost or found animals in our community or those who have pets to give away. The webpage for Hearst Pet Finders Rescue however will be closed. Marie Josee Boucher President
