Women's Hope

Women's Hope continues to collaborate by the Canadian members raising funds through soliciting individual donors and Ugandan members identifying women who meet our charity's criteria and are in need of their school fees and or small business start up costs being paid. One thing we did change was we shut down our website as we had minimal website traffic anyways and are still able to provide a QR code for our loyal donors to use to donate and a paypal link. We believe the charity funds should go directly to the women in Uganda not to website fees etc. so we made the decision to no longer have a website as it was a drain on the director's personal budget and not within our values to use the charity budget.

We had money saved to support a young woman recipient but it was observed by the directors in Uganda that this recipient was not going to use the opportunity given to her seriously so we abandoned the support and had an unanticipated surplus as we were unable to find a suitable candidate. We take seriously the donations we receive and want to make sure that the hard earned money donated goes to equally hard working and motivated individuals in Uganda who are motivated to change their social circumstances when given a hand. There is currently search and interview processes underway in Uganda to find one or more recipient(s) who will best benefit from the charitable gifts. Thank you.
