Ongoing programs
1. To advance education by: - providing seminars workshops and presentations to the general public on topics such as exercise and nutrition eating disorders and body evaluation; - creating and distributing educational materials such as brochures and presentations for healthcare professionals educators or other specific groups on topics relating to nutrition and eating disorders; and - offering exercise classes that are trauma-sensitive based. 2. 1. To advance education by: - providing seminars workshops and presentations to the general public on topics such as exercise and nutrition eating disorders and body evaluation; - creating and distributing educational materials such as brochures and presentations for healthcare professionals educators or other specific groups on topics relating to nutrition and eating disorders; and - offering exercise classes that are trauma-sensitive based. 2. To undertake activities ancillary and incidental to the attainment of the above-mentioned charitable purpose. These were primarily done throughout the fiscal year through the following primary areas: - Support group programming - Trauma-sensitive exercise sessions - Awareness/dissemination of eating disorders and preventative health strategies through events or through supporting advocacy groups (i.e. Eating Disorder Awareness Week campaign a registered eating disorder awareness student group at a Canadian post-secondary institution etc)

Additionally the following new programs were proposed to take place during the next fiscal year: Community Partner for Research Projects (assisting students and/or faculty at a registered Canadian post-secondary institution who are working on a research project that involves a community partnership with CEDAA throughout their project developing implementing and disseminating) - Community-based Entrepreneurship programs through work-integrated learning (by taking community-based research projects worked on by students and faculty then integrating evidence-based strategies for prevention an… Show more
Additionally the following new programs were proposed to take place during the next fiscal year: Community Partner for Research Projects (assisting students and/or faculty at a registered Canadian post-secondary institution who are working on a research project that involves a community partnership with CEDAA throughout their project developing implementing and disseminating) - Community-based Entrepreneurship programs through work-integrated learning (by taking community-based research projects worked on by students and faculty then integrating evidence-based strategies for prevention and support innovation into Canadian-based organizations and communities). - Research Support Grant (grants to non-qualified donees; providing grant support to students and/or faculty at a registered Canadian post-secondary institution who are undertaking working on or disseminating a community-based research project that can provide more awareness and support toward preventative health or eating disorders). Student Group Support Grant (grants to non-qualified donees; providing grant support to student groups bodies societies or associations at a registered Canadian post-secondary institution who incorporate eating disorder-related programming into their group and such programming is accessible to all community members in which a given institution is located).
