Ongoing programs

In-Person Classes: Embrace runs a variety of arts-based classes for disabled and non-disabled children teens and adults. Some of these classes are run independently by Embrace and some are run in collaboration with other local organizations and schools based in the CRD. In-Person Classes: Embrace runs a variety of arts-based classes for disabled and non-disabled children teens and adults. Some of these classes are run independently by Embrace and some are run in collaboration with other local organizations and schools based in the CRD. Online Sessional Classes: Embrace runs a variety of arts-based classes for disabled and non-disabled children teens and adults. Some of these classes are run independently by Embrace others are run collaboratively. This included the Music Jam with Erin and Seated Dance Fitness. In - Person Arts Based Community Events Embrace offers a variety of in-person community arts events throughout the year. This year we ran several events including our Annual Friendship Formal and Halloween Dance as well as several music and theatre events. These programs are for disabled and non-disabled individuals of all ages. Online Arts Based Community Events Embrace typically offers 2-3 free or by donation online community events throughout the year. These are designed for individuals in our community who are not able to attend in-person programming. These include dance and music based events. In - Person Summer Day Camps Embrace offers a range of performing arts based day camps for disabled and non-disabled individuals. We have programs for kids teens and adults. These are small scale camps with no more than 12 campers in a session. Shows: Embrace: Performance Embrace: Performance is our professional performance stream which focuses on developing new works collaboratively with teams of neurodivergent chronically ill disabled and non-disabled artists . Embrace: Performance strives to create innovative multidisciplinary pieces that are rooted in the stories our artists have to tell. In addition to our own artistic performances we partner with Impulse Theatre to offer micro-residencies each fall for disabled artists. We also provide trainings and consultations for other arts organizations to support their accessibility practices
