Self-Test Quizzes: Free online quiz tools (e.g. Google Forms or Quizlet) are used to create practice tests with automatic grading and feedback. These were set up at no cost. Pre-recorded Webinars: Record simple low-cost webinars or lectures on basic citizenship topics using basic software like Zoom. These are posted on YouTube and program’s website. Peer-led Support: Established a volunteer-led community forum and a Wechat group where immigrants can ask questions and share study materials. 2. Free Tax Preparation & Paperwork Assistance Since professional tax preparation usually costs money a low-budget version were involved a more volunteer-driven approach and offering basic guidance rather than in-depth personalized consultations. Features: Volunteer Tax Experts: Partner with tax professionals community members or retired accountants who would be willing to volunteer their time to assist with tax filing either via online consultations or simple guides. Online Tax Resources: Provide links to free government-provided tax resources ( CRA website) that outline the basics of tax filing for new immigrants. This helps participants navigate the process independently Use Link of free Recorded Step-by-Step Video on classes: Create or curate existing free YouTube videos on tax preparation targeting the immigrant community. These videos could cover topics like filing a tax return understanding deductions and applying for government credits. Digital Document Help: For paperwork assistance the program could provide templates (in PDF format) for common forms that new immigrants might need like SIN registration health card applications or employment insurance claims. 3. We hosted our series of activities across Toronto to reach the widespread Guangxi Chinese Canadian community By organizing a citywide online discussion on anti-racism followed by in-class classes seminars and forums we aim to raise awareness strengthen self-awareness as a minority and promote mutual respect and love. Our goal is to foster a peaceful inclusive atmosphere and create a more harmonious community.
