THE CORTES COMMUNITY HOUSING SOCIETY (CHS) CONTINUES ITS ONGOING CHARITABLE MISSION: TO RELIEVE POVERTY BY PROVIDING AND OPERATING AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND INCIDENTAL FACILITIES FOR LOW TO MODEST INCOME HOUSEHOLDS ON CORTES ISLAND BC. OVER THE PAST FISCAL YEAR CHS HAS CONTINUED TO RAISE MONEY TOWARDS OUR MISSION THE STAFF AND VOLUNTEER BOARD OF DIRECTORS HAVE BEEN WORKING ON OUR ON-GOING PROGRAM TO CREATE 24 NEW AFFORDABLE YEAR ROUND RENTAL HOMES ON 6-ACRES OF OUR RAINBOW RIDGE PROPERTY.
