HUMANITY IN MOTION SOCIETY

Undertake activities such as surveys focus groups sessions engagement interviews to advance research and gain insights into the sentiments of youth around climate change and the environment. Publish findings from its research in reports to inspire further research and for reference by members of the public seeking information on concerns raised by Canadian youth around climate change or opportunities for better engaging youth on the subject of conservation and sustainable choices. Projects undertaken include the Voice of 1 000 survey of 1 000 youth aged 8 to 14 across Canada in 2022/23. This project was undertaken by the Charity in collaboration with the University of Guelph and Mitacs. A report of findings will be made publicly-available through the Charity's website.

Utilize findings and insights from research undertaken by the Charity to develop content and resources adapted for use with individuals aged 8 to 14 seeking information on topics such as waste reduction circular economy which impact the state of the environment and climate Collaborate with practitioners educators and authorities on conservation within the community to promote forums and workshops that afford youth the opportunity to explore less resource-intensive approaches and alternatives to everyday household consumption decisions making the global goal of reducing carbon-emissions relatable and actionable at a personal level. Our goal is to use research to highlight the aspirations and needs of youth around climate change in a manner that inspires community members policy-makers and other authorities to take positive action to meet such needs.
