DINAH Mission

During this fiscal period DINAH Mission continued to advance its purpose of supporting survivors of childhood sexual abuse providing educational programming and raising awareness about abuse prevention. Due to financial difficulties the charity focused on maintaining essential services and adapting program delivery to meet community needs effectively. The charity carried out several key charitable activities on its own through its team of employees and dedicated volunteers including: Educational Workshops and Support Groups: Facilitated weekly in-person and virtual sessions on trauma recovery healthy boundaries self-esteem and community reintegration ensuring accessibility despite budget constraints. Resource Development and Distribution: Produced and distributed educational materials (e.g. guides toolkits and videos) for survivors their families and community partners with an emphasis on digital resources accessible online to minimize costs and maximize reach. Community Outreach and Online Engagement: Organized outreach events and collaborative forums with local schools community centers and service providers to enhance awareness of childhood sexual abuse prevention. Additionally the charity used online platforms and social media to share information collect feedback and connect with community members. Information Gathering and Needs Assessments: Conducted online surveys focus groups and virtual interviews to identify community needs and tailor our services effectively to address gaps in support for survivors and their families. DINAH Mission also made qualifying disbursements to support the work of other organizations aligned with its mission. These included grants to local women’s shelters and trauma recovery centers that offer direct support and counselling services to survivors of abuse. Despite financial difficulties volunteers contributed significantly to our mission donating over 2 000 hours collectively to program delivery online engagement administrative support and community outreach activities.

Virtual Survivor Peer Support Circles — Small moderated online groups designed to provide safe spaces for survivors to connect share experiences and offer mutual support. Online Resource Library — A comprehensive digital collection of self-help guides trauma-informed care resources videos and podcasts accessible through the charity’s website. Trauma-Informed Parenting Series (Virtual) — A new webinar series for parents and caregivers of survivors focusing on trauma-informed parenting strategies communication and emotional support. Community Awareness Campaign (Digital Focus) — A social media-driven campaign featuring survivor stories prevention messages and education on recognizing and responding to abuse. Virtual Needs Assessment Initiative — A new online survey and focus group project to gather community input and identify priority areas for future program development. Art Therapy Workshops (Online) — Virtual art therapy sessions led by certified facilitators offering survivors creative ways to process emotions and build resilience. Youth Digital Safety Series — A new online educational series addressing internet safety online grooming prevention and healthy digital relationships for youth.
