Topics included chronic disease prevention mental health awareness and navigating the Canadian healthcare system. These sessions were facilitated by healthcare professionals and reached over 1 500 community members. 2. Mental Health Support Initiatives (Ongoing): Recognizing the unique mental health challenges faced by ACB populations CADHO continued its mental health programs offering culturally sensitive counseling services and support groups. These services aimed to reduce stigma and improve access to mental health resources benefiting approximately 800 individuals during the year. 3. Health Research and Policy Advocacy (Ongoing): CADHO maintained its role in conducting community-based participatory research to identify health disparities affecting ACB communities. The organization utilized these findings to advocate for policy changes at municipal and provincial levels aiming to address systemic inequities in healthcare access and outcomes. 4. COVID-19 Response and Vaccine Education (Ongoing): In response to the ongoing impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic CADHO continued its outreach efforts to provide accurate information about the virus and vaccines. The organization hosted virtual town halls and distributed educational materials contributing to increased vaccine uptake in underserved communities.
